We are seeking an RN with leadership experience who is a lifelong learner!

This position is accountable for operationalizing the organization values within the assigned nursing unit including clinical, people, service and financial excellence behaviors. This position exists to provide supervisory leadership and clinical support to a nursing unit, to provide assistance relating to administrative functions to the Administrative Director and to serve as a representative of the department and act as a liaison to other departments, physicians and individuals.

This is a unique opportunity to lead an inpatient Med/Surg unit alongside of the emergency department. This leader will get the opportunity to empower the clinical team through shared leadership and evidenced based practice.

Qualifications for the Clinical Operations, Med/Surg & ED Manager Role

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN); Master of Nursing (MSN) preferred for new hires and promotions after August 1; 2003.
  • Current incumbents who do not meet this minimum requirement must meet or exceed the essential function of the position.
  • Requires current State of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires comprehensive nursing experience and documented leadership experience which is typically gained through five to eight years of progressive experience.
  • Requires the ability to support and mentor employees through the Career Advancement Program.
  • Requires the ability to gain a thorough understanding of the Career Advancement Program and all nursing pay programs.
  • Requires ability to communication and collaborative effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Requires the ability to build effective working relationships with the physicians.
  • Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agencies.
  • Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
  • Requires ability to learn and apply the organization personnel policies and procedures.
  • Requires ability to facilitate and lead work groups.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
  • Requires strong customer service skills.
  • Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
