Duties are as follows:

Circulate and assist the physician with GI (EGD and colonoscopies), Bronch procedures, and circulate in ERCP procedures. We assist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on a variety of patients. This position is for the procedure rooms only as day surgery gets the patients ready and sends them home. Anesthesia is used in the majority of our procedures with a only a few procedures requiring moderate sedation. Call is required when the department is closed.

Hours:

This part-time role is 8 hour shifts on days with overnight call 1 time per week. Weekend call every 4th week. Holiday rotation required.

Qualifications for the Perioperative Services Clinical Nurse Role

  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires ACLS and CPR certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
