O rtho / Neuro Unit: This newly remodeled 25 private bed unit is committed to providing the best, high quality, compassionate care to total joint; general orthopedics; spine and neurosurgery patients. We are a highly engaged team, with a dedicated orthopedic coordinator that collaborates with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and we take a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. The unit received the Advanced Certification in Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement and Hip Fracture Certification by the Joint Commission .

Qualifications for the Ortho Registered Nurse Role

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
