Supports patient diagnosing and treatment by installing, testing, calibrating, and repairing general biomedical equipment, under close supervision. Validates and inspects clinical equipment for completeness, mechanical and electrical safety, and proper operation. Assists other technicians in the troubleshooting and major repair of complex equipment. Maintains a safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests, recommending and complying with procedures, training and guiding medical and healthcare personnel, and complying with codes.
