About the Position:

Are you interested in utilizing your patient care knowledge but not sure how? Then working as an Emergency-Room Technician (ED-Tech) might be the flawless fit for you! Our team in the Arnett Emergency Department is seeking qualified, and motivated, individuals to join their team in supporting the Lafayette, IN community!

While working in the ED, team members gain exposure to various different types of patients and scenarios. This means qualified candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they will be acclimated to collaborating with other team members such as Paramedics and Nurses.

Qualifications for the Technician ED Role

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • EMT or PCA certification is preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of routine patient care procedures.
  • Requires familiarity with standard medical equipment and supplies.
  • Requires basic understanding of infection control.
  • Requires Knowledge of EMTALA , Some experience in patient care within a hospital setting is preferred.
