We have an exciting and rewarding full-time day shift nursing opportunity available on our Ortho/Neurosurgery Med/Surg unit at Arnett Hospital! This unit provides hands on care for surgical patients undergoing Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, ENT, GYN, Urology and other wide-ranging procedures. Our nurses have the opportunity to use their nursing skills and experience to make an immediate impact on our patient's lives. Nurses work hand-in-hand with hospitalists, surgeons and nurse practitioners to provide high-quality evidence-based care for these patient populations.

The team works closely with the Orthopedic Coordinator who provides education, support, and guidance to all of our nurses, with extra consideration given to our new graduates. This unit is unique in that it is an acuity adaptable unit. This means that the nurses care for Med/Surg and progressive level of care patients. Care provided for these higher acuity patients allow for additional growth opportunities for our nurses.

Qualifications for the Ortho/Neurosurgery Registered Nurse Role

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
