About the Position:

Are you interested in gaining experience in a clinical setting while working hands-on with patients? Then working as an Emergency-Room Technician (ED-Tech) might be the flawless fit for you! Our team at the Arnett Emergency Department is seeking qualified, and motivated, individuals to join their team in supporting the Lafayette, IN community!

While working in the Arnett ED, team members with gain hands-on experience with patients and technology. Our teams see patients ranging in age and morbidities. Qualified candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with several different collaborative teams. Additionally, they will be acclimated to collaborating with other team members such as Paramedics and Nurses.

ED-Tech's have the opportunity to gain experience working with EKGs and Phlebotomy, among other equipment and procedures.

Qualifications for the Emergency Tech Role

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • EMT or PCA certification is preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of routine patient care procedures.
  • Requires familiarity with standard medical equipment and supplies.
  • Requires basic understanding of infection control.
  • Requires Knowledge of EMTALA , Some experience in patient care within a hospital setting is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
