This position is responsible for leading Revenue Cycle operations for all assigned Revenue Cycle Services teams that require specific clinical, technical, or legal knowledge and/or experience. Provides departmental administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning, including the efficient and productive use of personnel and other financial resources. Ensures high quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably with relevant national benchmarks. Partners with other Directors and Executive Directors to ensure consistent leadership and standards across the division. The incumbent must possess strong subject matter expertise and leadership in order to support a diverse and complex operating environment and span of control. Other opportunities include: KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Executive Director - RCS Direct Reports: 4 direct reports including 2 managers Other Key Relationships: Various revenue cycle management, Charge Description Master (CDM) team and Facility Charge Optimization team. Qualifications for the Specialized Director RCS Role

  • Managing Charge Description Master (CDM) team and Facility Charge Optimization team
  • Facilitating strategic planning, program development, labor management and overall operational administration for team
  • Monitoring compliance with government regulatory standards and third party contractual agreements

Additional Information about this Role

  • Requires relevant degree or certification in support of specialized functions being managed (ASN/BSN for Clinical roles, Associates Degree or Bachelors degree in Health Information Management of AHIMA/AAPC Coding credentials for coding roles, JD for legal roles, Bachelors degree in MIS or equivalent work experience with ITIL certification preferred for IT roles).
  • 3 years of revenue cycle management experience.
  • Requires demonstrable knowledge of healthcare billing terminology concepts and processes.
  • Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
  • Requires the ability to organize and manage work to achieve performance expectations.
