This position provides technical support for IU Health's simulation center events. This may include scenario preparation, operation of simulation event including manikins, maintenance and repair of high fidelity manikins, task trainers and multimedia peripherals. A Simulation Technician serves as simulator operator by programming, testing and running scenarios with educators. He or she evaluates new equipment and finds opportunities for technology improvement.

Qualifications for the Simulation Tech Role

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge in accounting or scheduling software preferred.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience; healthcare, educational, and/or team based simulation experience preferred.
  • Multiple levels of simulation experience (task trainer, standardized patients, low fidelity manikins, high fidelity manikins) preferred.
