Position is responsible for assessments for potential admissions into the hospital or hospice house. This position will assist with hospice nursing service in the home, extended care facilities, or in the hospital.

Qualifications for the Relocation Incentives Available! Hospice Liaison/Admission Nrs Role

  • Requires current state of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support certification required. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor?s of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • New ASN RNs hired after January 1, 2013 will be required to complete their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire into this job.
  • Requires experience in hospice industry and experience working closely with physicians.
  • Requires knowledge of revenue and reimbursement issues relating to hospice.
  • Requires knowledge of the financial aspects of hospice and managed care contracting.
  • Requires knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid procedures.
  • Requires excellent analytical skills sufficient to identify and meet customer needs.
  • Requires ability to prioritize and process multiple complex projects; deadlines and processes.
  • Requires excellent verbal; written and presentation skills.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to effectively work independently as well as a member of hospice team.
  • Requires the ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation to consistently meet/exceed customer needs.
  • Requires ability to exhibit extreme diplomacy in resolving negative experiences (problem solving).
