This position is open to any current day time APP employees within the Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine team. This includes Methodist Hospital, Universit Hospital, or West Hospital.

Under the supervision of the Service line leadership, assists with planning and directing the operational activities of Service Line operated by the organization. Oversees adherence to the organization policies and proper communication to and involvement of subordinate personnel. Plans, organizes and directs daily operations to include staffing, practice growth and improvement, and customer service.

Key duties included: Developing and approving schedules, holding team meetings, assisting the Clinical Director in strategic initiatives, assisting in the hiring process, and managing the day to day operations of the day APPs.

Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner Team Lead Role

  • Requires current valid Indiana State RN license.
  • If prescriptive authority is required for the position, must have current APN licensure in State of Indiana.
  • Requires current national certification in area of clinical specialty within one year of date of hire.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires Masters Prepared Advanced Provider NP from accredited school. (ACNP)
  • Basic knowledge of health care delivery and management.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications is required.
  • May require the ability to handle pressure of life threatening situations.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
