Summary: The Technologist - Nuclear Medicine will perform diagnostic procedures involving the use of radioactive drugs to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen. They will do so in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. This individual will follow physicians' instructions, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients accurately in order to record the requested diagnostic images. They will complete all of this while treating patients with care and respect. Qualifications for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Role

  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Hold American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, if you are required to perform SPECT/CT or PET/CT, you will need to obtain CT certification within 12 months of hire through ARRT or NMTCB
  • Nuclear Medical License from Indiana State Department of Health
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
