This position plans, develops and supervises the Patient Access Center and/or Physician Referral Services within the office of Access and Referral Management, which represents IU Health Physicians consolidated central service center. The Patient Access Center and Physician Referral Services serves as a comprehensive contact center that promotes exceptional quality and customer service to internal and external customers. The supervisor provides direction and leadership to all team members in the department and is responsible to ensure all appropriate job functions are performed accurately and efficiently. The supervisor is responsible to work with the manager to successfully integrate scheduling, registration, referral, pre-certification and insurance verification functions into the Patient Access Center and Physician Referral Services. The supervisor is also responsible for working with Patient Access Center training team to develop and implement effective training programs for the department.
