The Respiratory Care Services Manager position exists to assist in the planning, directing and overall operation of quality Respiratory Care Services and to maintain responsibility and accountability. Through direct clinical leadership, ongoing outcome analysis and program development, the incumbent is responsible for quality patient outcomes, high customer satisfaction, and efficient, productive use of personnel, material and financial resources. Serves as a liaison between various departments and leadership and collaborates to ensure quality process and policies are in place. The Manager is responsible for system-wide respiratory service integration and interdisciplinary collaboration within the Indiana University Health System.

Qualifications for the Respiratory Care Services Manager Role

  • Requires Associates degree in Respiratory Care. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Requires licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Indiana.
  • Requires current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) from NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).
  • Requires Healthcare BLS certification.
  • Other advanced life support certification may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires 5 years minimum clinical experience.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
