Do you like to coach and teach? If so, this may be the position for you! IU Health Bloomington Hospital is passionate about supporting their nursing team members. This position focuses on coaching and mentoring of early career nurses in their first year of nursing. The incumbent will round in the Intensive Care, Emergency, and Progressive Care units providing at the elbow coaching and support four evenings/nights per week with minimal weekend commitment. Hours are flexible. Must have ED or ICU experience.

Qualifications for the RN Associate Ptnr/Clinical Specl Coordinator Role

  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor?s of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nursing program accredited through the ACEN or CCNE. New ASN RNs hired after January 1, 2013 will be required to complete their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire into this job.
  • Requires prior experience in and strong knowledge of area of clinical specialty.
  • Requires efficient organizational skills and tactful communication skills.
  • Requires greaRequires great attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires ability to problem solve and directs follow-up information to appropriate parties.
  • Requires ability to prioritize and maintain a high degree of efficiency in dealing with a variety of changing situations and tasks.
