The position exists to manage clinical outcomes, cost, and customer satisfaction in the daily care assignment and in the operations of the unit. The incumbent assures care for patients and families reflective of the organization values. This position coordinates the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily patient care assignments. Additionally, this position is responsible for promoting quality clinical practices in a specific specialty. Provides clinical and educational information concerning a particular patient population. Responsible for the development of a core curriculum for the area. Serves as a role model, resource person, and member of the management team. Participates in continuing education, in-servicing, orientation, and evaluation of such programs. The position may also be responsible for product resources, and may serves as a resource to unit personnel and others.

Qualifications for the RN Associate Ptnr/Clinical Specl Coordinator Role

  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor?s of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nursing program accredited through the ACEN or CCNE. New ASN RNs hired after January 1, 2013 will be required to complete their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire into this job.
  • Requires prior experience in and strong knowledge of area of clinical specialty.
  • Requires efficient organizational skills and tactful communication skills.
  • Requires greaRequires great attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires ability to problem solve and directs follow-up information to appropriate parties.
  • Requires ability to prioritize and maintain a high degree of efficiency in dealing with a variety of changing situations and tasks.
