People who aspire to excellence every day. Job Details IU Health Bloomington is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit! We are looking for applicants that are passionate about helping others. This role continues the therapeutic regimen that is set up by therapy. Helps both therapy and nursing in the everyday care of the rehab patient. Performs designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinician(s). Assists the clinician to deliver safe mobility and positioning of the patient as needed. Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment. Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required. Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies. May perform scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties.

Qualifications for the Rehabilitation Services Tech Role

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Rehab experience preferred.
