Provides functional guidance and serves as the lead in daily activities of the department. Assists in the supervision of patient flow from point of entry to destination and ensures timely, accurate, and professional service. Monitors workflow, quality, and performance and provides direction, guidance and oversight in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Recognizes improvement opportunities, helps to implement solutions, and handles complex or unresolved issues. Leads the team in assuring patient encounter is priority and at best interest.
