This role functions on the oncology unit in Bloomington Hospital. Inpatient Oncology is a 22 bed unit serving our oncology and medical surgical patients. The RN on this team will gain experience with chemotherapy infusions and will have the ability to learn about hospice and palliative care. Chemotherapy/biotherapy training is required and will occur within the first six months of hire.

Qualifications for the Inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse Role

  • Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
