Provides comprehensive support and analysis for the Ambulatory (Outpatient) clinics to Southern Indiana Physicians and the South Central Region to optimize the adoption and utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Identifies gaps and inefficiencies related to workflow and usage of the EMR system. This individual would be expected to support EMR system planning, implementation, and end user/classroom training. Designs, implements, and delivers training activities as well as end-user support to improve EMR system adoption and optimization. Maintains records of training activities and results. Would be expected to attend meetings and participate in IS related projects.

Qualifications for the Clinical Informatics Optimization Coach Role

  • Ability to work flexible hours (some overnight and weekend hours required).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% within Indiana.
  • 3-5 years relevant clinical, healthcare, or training experience required., Cerner Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
