The Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for administrative leadership and operations of IU Health Bloomington Hospital`s Service Line across the continuum of care! The incumbent interacts with the Executive Leadership Team, and supports departments through meetings, committees, and training initiatives. Strategic design, performance improvement, patient/employee satisfaction, budget preparation and fiscal accountability, human resources management, marketing, and regulatory oversight are other areas of oversight. In coordination with the Chief Operating Officer or Chief Nursing Officer, these individuals share responsibility for overall patient care standards, policies, practices, staffing, budget and planning for quality efficient patient outcomes. The Director facilitates communication among multiple departments, teams and groups to assure successful functioning of all departments within the guidelines established by Hospital administration. Other opportunities include:

Leading cardiac rehab, heart failure clinic, cath lab, cardiac short stay, cardiac ICU, and critical care units, telemetry, vascular access team, and wound care team

Mentoring a team of 5 successful managers

Contributing to innovative programs and designing workflows within newly constructed hospital

Qualifications for the Cardiovascular Services Director Role

  • Master's degree in related field, required.
  • A State licensure for RN, PT, OT, or SLP, required.
  • Current Indiana Driver's License, proof of insurance and a safe driving record required.
  • Currently licensed in the State of Indiana as a RN or Therapist, if applicable.
  • 5+ years' forward-thinking leadership experience in a healthcare setting, required.
  • Knowledge of the enforcement of all applicable and regulatory requirements for Hospital licensure.
  • Previous Director experience required with Service Line experience, preferred.
